Darkstrider

Description

Traverse the underwater abyss as a Darkstrider, a creature that changes shape based on the light. In the dark, it transforms into a massive monster, capable of destroying objects, hunting other beings, and feeding. In the light, however, a Darkstrider becomes weak and small, vulnerable yet fast and skilled, able to pass through smaller spaces and interact with diverse organisms.

Discover strange caves at the bottom of the ocean, where the only light sources are bioluminescent. Hunt to stay alive and grow stronger, face terrifying enemies, and encounter curious creatures. Discover your purpose in this underwater environment.

Function

On this project, I worked as a programmer and sound team coordinator. As a programmer, I implemented a sound system in Unity and programmed part of the main character's procedural movement system.

As sound team manager, I guided the team in composing the soundtracks and sound effects, as well as contributing several sound effects and a song to the production.

History

After the Jazz Defense project ended, the ICAD team began production on Darkstrider. Production lasted two years, but unfortunately, the game was never fully finished and released.

Project created in 2023 by the ICAD team that was not completed.
