Jazz Defense

In Jazz Defense, you must put on a jazz show while battling noisy construction tools that want to ruin your rhythm. This is a tower defense game where you place jazz instruments on stage to create a stylish soundtrack and keep the audience happy. Don't let the tools steal your show!

For this game, I was responsible for programming and designing a sound system in Unity, creating the sound effects, and composing two songs for the game's soundtrack.
The soundtrack proved to be a major compositional challenge because the instruments in the soundtrack had to be the same as the instruments on the stage. This required an adaptive composition that would work with any possible combination of instruments.

This game was created by the ICAD Games team in 2022, shortly after the pandemic ended. It was a finalist at SBGames 2022 in the categories Best Sound in Student Games, Best Design in Student Games, and Best Student Game.
